Irion County Warrant Records Irion County Warrant Records

If you missed a court date on a ticket, the court listed on your citation is where to turn. An Irion County traffic warrant can come out of the countywide Justice Court or from Mertzon Municipal Court, and only that issuing court knows the case. The clerk can tell you whether you owe an appearance, a payment plan, or a bond. A payment link on the court's site settles money; it does not search warrant status. DPS/OmniBase may show a failure-to-appear or failure-to-pay flag, but DPS cannot confirm an arrest warrant. Keep your citation notice and court date at hand, then check with the Irion County court that issued the process.

How Traffic Warrants Work in Irion County

A citation starts with a court date or a direction to resolve the charge. A missed appearance, failure to comply with a notice, or unpaid judgment may lead a Justice or Municipal Court to issue FTA, capias, or bench process under Texas Chapter 45A. The exact process depends on the case. A reported FTA/FTP flag may also affect license renewal, but that flag and an arrest warrant are not the same record.

The court matters. Irion County Justice Court handles countywide traffic and Class C cases. Mertzon Municipal Court handles city-ordinance and city-traffic matters. Confirm the court before paying.

Irion County Traffic Warrants Start at JP or Mertzon

Use the issuing court, not a countywide assumption. The Justice Court is at 209 N Park View, Mertzon, and lists 325-835-4141. Mertzon Municipal Court is at City Hall, 104 S Park View, and lists 325-835-5791. The city has no public citation or warrant lookup in the material reviewed.

Irion County Traffic Warrant Checks

Call the court named on the citation and ask for the case and warrant status. No local form fields were captured from the payment sites, and the Mertzon court has no public online lookup. Have the citation number, full name, date of birth, and court date ready for the call. These are useful identifiers to provide, not verified web-form fields.

  1. For a county citation, open the Justice Court page and follow its “Visit to Pay Your Ticket” link only after confirming the citation belongs there.
  2. The county homepage also has “Pay Your Ticket,” which routes to a different vendor. Neither route was verified as a warrant lookup.
  3. For a Mertzon citation, call City Hall/Municipal Court at 325-835-5791. No citation search form or court hours were published.
  4. If a portal does not answer the status question, call the issuing clerk and ask whether appearance is required.

Irion County Mertzon Traffic Warrants Start at City Hall

Mertzon Municipal Court handles city traffic and ordinance cases. The OCA directory lists the court at P.O. Box 456 and 325-835-5791; City Hall is at 104 S Park View. There is no dedicated court page, online citation search, warrant form, published court hours, or court payment vendor in the city material reviewed.

Ask the clerk whether the file shows FTA, capias pro fine, bench warrant, or a license report. Confirm if you must appear before sending money.

Traffic Warrants: What They Show

No sample traffic warrant was available. Use this checklist when speaking with the clerk, and do not treat it as a confirmed portal layout. The county does not publish a citation-number format or active traffic-warrant schema. A cause number, citation, and FTA report may be different entries.

Citation numberNumber from your citation; no local format was published.
Charge or ordinanceAsk which traffic or city-code matter is in the file.
Issuing courtIrion Justice Court or Mertzon Municipal Court.
Balance or bondConfirm current amount and whether appearance is required.
Warrant and FTA statusAsk whether a warrant, capias, or separate DPS report exists.

OmniBase FTA/FTP and License Renewal

A court may report a failure to appear or pay to DPS/OmniBase. That entry can block license renewal until the reporting court confirms compliance. It does not mean DPS holds a complete warrant list, and license specialists cannot tell a caller whether an arrest warrant exists.

The DPS FAQ screenshot calls out this limit. Use the court for the warrant and OmniBase for the reported-citation compliance question.

Read the DPS FTA/FTP FAQ or call OmniBase at 1-800-686-0570.

Irion County traffic warrants: Texas DPS says it cannot confirm warrants

If more than one court reported a citation, contact each court to confirm that its entry was cleared.

Clearing an Irion County Traffic Warrant

First confirm whether the court requires payment, an appearance, a continuance, a plan, community service, defensive driving, or bond. The official county pages link payment vendors, but no portal fields or transaction fees were captured. Mertzon has no court payment page. A city water bill page is not a traffic-court payment instruction.

  1. Confirm the issuing court, current balance, warrant or FTA status, and whether you must appear.
  2. Ask about a payment plan, reset, community service, defensive-driving option, or bond if available.
  3. Use a payment link only after the clerk says the case is eligible for online payment.
  4. Save the receipt or order, then ask when court and DPS records will be updated.

Warning: Paying a ticket may not recall a warrant or clear a separate FTA report; ask the issuing court for written confirmation of each status.

Seven Business Days for a DPS Update

DPS says a paid citation can take up to seven business days to update after the court reports compliance. That timing is about its FTA/FTP status, not a promise that a court warrant will be recalled on the same schedule. If the flag remains, contact the court that reported it and ask when the update was sent.

Keep the receipt and the clerk’s answer. Check any separate Mertzon or Justice Court warrant status with that court.

How Traffic Warrants Trigger License Holds

A court warrant, an FTA/FTP report, and a license-renewal denial are related but distinct. One citation can lead to more than one record. Ask the court whether it issued a capias or arrest warrant, and ask DPS/OmniBase whether a citation compliance flag remains. Neither answer replaces the other.
